Share Shed Community

How the Share Shed improves wellbeing

The Share Shed improves people’s wellbeing by:

– giving them greater control over their lives;
– helping them to learn new skills and carry out practical projects;
– saving them money;
– reducing the need to store rarely used items in their homes;
– reducing consumption, carbon emissions and waste;
– connecting them with their local community through the project and the sharing and repairing events we run

By making borrowing, sharing and repairing easier, the Share Shed supports a more resilient, connected and sustainable way of life which ripples out from individuals to the whole community and the environment.

Events & Festivals
Celebrating
Sharing & Repairing

The Network of Wellbeing and The Share Shed run events to support and encourage sharing, making, repairing and upcycling, including repair cafes and skill-shares. We run regular sharing and repairing events in Devon which you can find here and you can find events happening near you via our UK wide directory.

We run two, free sharing and repairing community festivals each year. One called ShareFest and one called WoolFest. They are events to bring people together to celebrate and learn about all the ways in which we can create a circular economy wherever we live.
