“There are a great many people accumulating what they think is vast wealth, but it’s only money…” Alan Watts
In today’s fast-paced world, wealth is often associated with the accumulation of money and things, yet as wealth grows, unhappiness abounds – compounded by climate crisis, social inequalities, and ecological degradation. We’re frequently bombarded by messages telling us we are not enough, so it’s understandable that we often turn towards money and things to help us feel happy and whole, and that we can misplace our desire for belonging and connection by buying more stuff.
This will be a space to listen and share about what radical simplicity could look like in our lives. What are our true needs? And what is the compass that will point us towards a future that can provide for everyone’s needs, while safeguarding the living world on which we all depend? What does experiencing and prioritising wellbeing look like? This space is for us to discover and listen from the heart in relation to this subject.
