Positive Resilience for Health Professionals is a 1-day course in the essentials of resilience drawing on the science of positive psychology with a range of evidence-based tools that you can put into practice straightaway.
We all know that healthcare practitioners are under pressure but while they’re busy caring for others, their personal wellbeing can also suffer. This one-day workshop introduces you to the evidence-based tools from positive psychology and the science of resilience that you can put into practice to support your own wellbeing and that of the people you work with.
The course will enable you to:
- Understand what causes you stress and its effects on you
- Learn what it means to be resilient
- Improve your wellbeing through better breathing
- Know how to access positive emotions
- Get to know your strengths
- Master optimistic thinking tools
The workshop is facilitated by Miriam Akhtar MAPP, author of Positive Psychology for Overcoming Depression and What Is Post-traumatic Growth together with Adaptive Resilience practitioner Jo Cullen (Hennessy) – pictured.
Miriam and Jo are both experienced trainers and met through their shared passion for spreading the knowledge about the science of wellbeing.
