The Share Shed is a library of things in Devon, where you can borrow useful items like ladders, drills, carpet cleaners, camping, cooking and gardening equipment, sewing machines, and much more!

It enables people to borrow items at nominal cost so that they don’t have to buy them for themselves. The aim is to build a more resourceful community, allowing people to connect with each other and share things they may need just once in a while. This also reduces our impact on Earth’s precious resources.

The Share Shed currently serves Totnes, Bridgetown, Dartington, Buckfastleigh, South Brent and Ashburton (check our weekly route here).

Share Shed: the world’s first mobile library of things

Membership is by donation (from £5 to £50 per year), while items can be borrowed from £0.50 per week. Please bring a form of identification with your name and address on your first visit.

Members have access to over 350 items and can reserve them using the Share Shed website.
