Drink Wise, Age Well helps people aged 50 plus make healthier choices about alcohol as they age.
The National Lottery funded programme is being delivered across five “demonstration” areas – Glasgow, Sheffield, Devon, Cwm Taf University Health Board area and the Western Health & Social Care Trust area in Northern Ireland.
Drink Wise, Age Well offers an integrated, community-based approach in each of these areas around four main activities:
- Delivering one-to-one support and group activities
- Building resilience to alcohol misuse in individuals and communities
- Training and workforce development
- Prevention and campaigning
They also offer web chat, which operates Monday to Friday 10am – 4pm and 6pm to 9pm, and 11am – 4pm on Saturday and Sunday.
