Working with people to increase access and understanding about land and sea based resources, Jane became an ethnobotanist studying BSc Botany at Bangor and Environmental Anthropology at Goldsmiths. Her research on the impacts of woodlands on the well being of young carers is published in Issues of Comprehensive Paediatric Nursing and with adults with severe mental health problems in the Royal College of Nursing Mental Health journal. A Founder member of the Nature Workshops training agency, she works to provide quality land based and water safety training in the UK and sits on England’s Learning for Sustainability Alliance. A founder Member of West Cornwall Womens Aid, a SureStart programme manager and a lone parent on benefits for 13 years, Jane understands the impact of income on well being.
